Changing facilities and showers are temporarily closed, so please get changed before arrival.
Wibit Sports was founded in 1996, and they are dedicated to the safety of users by ensuring their features comply with state of the art safety standards recognised the world over. This is why, at Dunmore Adventure, we work closely with Wibit Sports to provide the ultimate aqua park experience.
This year we have less numbers on our Aquapark, and we have added more walkways so that you can easily access the park from Stony Cove.
What's it about?
The Wibit is an obstacle course on the water, with swings, slides, cliffs, spinners, a huge action tower to slide, climb and jump from, as well as two water trampolines to jump around on. There are many other obstacles to challenge you and your friends, family or work colleagues - its a blast!
How much does it cost?
A 50 min session on the Wibit Wipout costs €18 per child and €22 per adult. We have special offers for two hour sessions including another choice of either a land or water based activity. If you want to leave before your 50 min session is over, you can, however, once you leave the aquapark, you cannot return.
We will supply you with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet, the activity is fully supervised, so there are no extra hidden costs!
Please bring your own wetsuit if you have one, and come dressed and ready to go as changing facilities are limited due to social distancing.
Old runners or watershoes are required to give you grip and to protect your feet.
Can I book the Wibit Wipeout for the exclusive use of my group?
Yes, you can, if we have availability, contact the centre on 051 383783 for exclusive rates. We will have an online booking system up and running shortly!
Who can go?
The Wibit is fun for both adults and kids, but there is a restriction on height and age - children MUST be at least 7 years of age, at least 110cm's tall (1.1 metres), and be able to swim, 7 and 8 year olds MUST have an adult on the aquapark with them.
Swimming ability: you will need to swim a short distance in your wetsuit and buoyancy aid to get to the start gate.
If you are carrying any injuries (past or present), or have any medical issues, it is advisable to contact the centre prior to booking to see if this activity is suitable for you.
Further Admission Criteria - IMPORTANT TO READ!!!
It is a requirement that you are able to swim 50m with a buoyancy aid and unaided by others. You are likely to go underwater and therefore should be confident in deep water. You have to be able to pull yourself up out of the water, and it can be tiring.
Do not participate if you are pregnant
You cannot participate under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
You must agree to always abide by the rules given prior to your session.
If you have any medical conditions or pre-existing injuries that could impair your use of the Wibit Wipeout or risk aggravation of the injury then you should not attend. If you are in any doubt, please seek professional advice from your doctor. Do not talk to us, as we are not qualified to give advice on your medical history.
What do I need to bring with me?
Participants need to bring swimming togs and towel, and water shoes or runners to wear in the water. We sell water shoes in our shop for €12 and €14 depending on your size. Changing robes are available in our centre shop.
If you have your own wetsuit, it is advisable to bring it, we will supply you with a wetsuit if you need one.
Please be changed and ready to go on arrival for your activity!
Please make sure that you bring a bag to put your belongings into!
Is there anywhere to store valuables?
You are responsible for your own possessions, and we would strongly recommend that you don't leave valuables in the changing rooms, which can be busy at peak times.
Do I need to book or do I just arrive?
Like all of our activities, you need to book and pay in advance. You also need to arrive at least 45 mins before your slot to get registered and allocated equipment and to get your mandatory safety briefing. All participants MUST watch the safety video and listen to the instructions of the staff.
What If I arrive with less people, after I have paid?
Like an airline ticket, once you book and pay for a certain number of places on the Wibit Wipeout, your places are allocated to you and therefore cannot be refunded if you arrive with less. Therefore it is advisable that you ensure that you know exactly what numbers you have before booking and paying for your slot.
What if I am late?
If you are running late due to whatever reason, it is unlikely that we will be able to extend your session, so please allow plenty of time for your journey! We recommend that you arrive AT LEAST 45 mins prior to your session so that you have plenty of time to get kitted out for your awesome session! You will need time to change into your equipment, and attend the compulsory SAFETY BRIEFING prior to your session. So please, please PLEASE don't arrive late, as there are no refunds, and we would hate to see you upset!
What if it rains?
You can still take part in the rain, as you are getting wet anyway! The Wibit Wipeout is just as much fun in the rain!
Wibit Wipeout layout and changes
We will endeavour to ensure that as many elements of the Wibit Wipeout are available for use, however, occasionally due to weather or tides, we reserve the right, without prior notice, to remove or close any inflatable or feature that we deem necessary.
What about spectators?
Spectators are welcome to watch from the shore, we have a viewing area both indoors and outdoors which are free to use. We also have a Cafè onsite serving hot drinks, snacks and food.
Is there parking nearby?
There is limited parking in the Harbour, and at peak times you may have to park in the Shanoan car park to the right of the entrance of the Harbour. As such, please give yourself plenty of time for traffic, any local events or bank holidays.
