Vadrefjord is coming!
We are super excited about our latest activity – the Dunmore Adventure Sea Safari!
We have commissioned a 10.5 meter passenger RIB, she is called Vadrefjord, the Viking name for Waterford, and we hope to have her in operation from Easter 2022.
Our trips will take in the stunning scenery of the Waterford Coast, Hook Head peninsula and Waterford estuary, with its abundant marine sea life, and ancient maritime history.
Waterford Estuary and the Hook Peninsula is home to many species of Cetacean, particularly between the months of November and February, when whale and dolphin are active feeding on Herring.
In the summer season we will offer family and friends an exhilarating and breath taking tour of our majestic coastline, taking in Waterford Estuary and Hook Lighthouse, with a tour guide on board to give you an insight into the local folklore, sea and wildlife in the stunning estuary which was the gateway taken by the Vikings when they first landed on our shores.
If you are interested in doing a private charter of Vadrefjord, we will also offer this service, great for office days out, that special birthday trip or just as a treat for family and friends.
Each passenger will have their own individual seat, and will supply you with a lifejacket – safety briefing will take place on shore prior to your trip.
