New Courses announced - Sea Camp and Youth Sailing Club
We are always listening to you, and through massive feedback, we have decided to start two new courses, and both involve plenty of action in the water!
Sea Camp is exclusively for teens and takes place during the last two weeks of June.
Dates: Two weeks only!! 20th - 24th June and the 27th June - 1st July
Start time: 9.30am
Finish time: 4.30pm
This new addition for teenagers includes a full two week programme taking in all of our watersports, with lots of sailing, windsurfing, Stand up Paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing, and of course lots of fun and games, splashing jumping sliding and flipping on our amazing Wibit Wipeout course!
Its a week where your teen will meet new friends, while picking up confidence and skills in a range of watersports, all on the doorstep of our Adventure Base in Dunmore East Harbour.
We have one or two instructors exclusively looking after the needs of the sea campers, and our programme is very flexible, ensuring that the participants enjoy their week or fortnight with us.
Although the Sea Camp is mainly based on watersports, we also have plenty of awesome land activities for the teens to participate in, if they wish to have a break in between their watersports.
The land options include: Climbing, Caving, Archery and Freefall, and we may also throw a few team challenges into the mix, to get a bit of camradarie going within the group.
Our new 'Chillout Zone' will be available for catching up with the days activities, and has a fantastic view across the water towards Badgers Cove. and Councellors Beach.
We supply all of the necessary equipment, all your teen needs to bring is their swim gear, water shoes or old runners, and a good sized packed lunch (they will be starving so make it a big one!!)
Dunmore Adventure Sailing Club
One of the most exciting developments in 2016 is the introduction of our 'Sailing Club',
No Membership Fees!
The club is for youths from the age of 11 - 16, who have already participated in one of our sailing courses.
Its a relaxed week, where the participants spend the majority of their time getting comfortable with the skills that they have already learned, and gaining new goals that will be set out by their instructors.
This week is ideal for getting ready for the next step up if you're planning on doing a more advanced sailing course with us, we will check your skills and give you tasks to practice on the water.
We have daily supervised sailing, racing and fun, under the close eye of our qualified sailing coaches and instructors.
The Club participants have use of our new 'Chillout Zone' in our land based centre where they can catch up on the days activities and chat with their new friends.Theres also a pool table and board games to keep them occupied during their breaks.
