Powerboat Courses for Autumn 2022

A number of you have been enquiring about our Powerboat Courses, which we now have scheduled for this Autumn. The two day National Powerboat Certificate is aimed towards those who wish to drive a powerboat safely and confidently in coastal waters.

We use Zodiac RIBs and Displacement boats to give you both types of craft experience.

Our instructors will cover topics such as:

• Coming Alongside and leaving a Dock, pontoon or slipway.
• Picking up a Mooring.
• Anchoring.
• Turning in confined spaces
• Man overboard.
• Rules of the Road.
• Launch and Recovery from a Road Trailer.
• Safety and Planning.
• Tying up to a dock.
• All necessary knots to include Round Turn, Reef Knot and Bowline.

Participants dont need any prior experience, and must be at least 16 years of age.
